why is there a geabox girls and not a gearbox guys?
Women make up 20% of engineering, physics, and computer science majors. The Gearbox Girls believe it is not a lack of interest causing this gender gap, but a lack of resources, motivators, and support for girls at a young age to immerse themselves in STEM. This is why we created the program—to set a group of hard-working, smart, and empowered girls on the path of empowering others to pursue their dreams.
how old are the gearbox girls?
The Gearbox Girls, and all Pearadox members, are high schoolers from Pearland, TX
Is pearadox an all-girls team?
Nope! Pearadox is a co-ed team from the high schools of Pearland, Texas. Something we value as a program is inclusivity, whether it be through genders, interests, or ability. If you love STEM just as much as we do, we support you!
